Turkish en route to catch up with the Gulf carriers

Middle Eastern companies slowed down their traffic and decreased it slightly, but maintained their dominant position. Turkish Airlines grew spectacularly with the introduction of a widebody on their route as of May 2014. With the introduction of the second widebody frequency as of May 2015 the growth of TY is likely to retain similar parameters in 2015. US routes grew strongly (especially in exports) as did direct routes with Asia. Swiss
International also had remarkable growth. Aeroflot, on the other hand, decreased its traffic in the second half of the year, with the depreciation of the rouble.
