The transport sector, a star in SIL 2015

Inside the Trade Fair there will be a “Meeting of Transport Leaders”, where the issues that most concern and will shape the future of the sector will be discussed and analysed.

The transport sector will be one of the main stars of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition (SIL 2015), which this year is celebrating its 17th edition from 9 to 11 June in the Montjuïc-Plaça Espanya Exhibtion Grounds of Fira de Barcelona. SIL will host a specific area dedicated to transport (SIL Transport). In addition, SIL 2015 will experience a greater increase in participation of transport companies as evidenced by the fact that, to date, prominent companies such as Ekol Logistics, Mail Boxes ETC. -El Prat, FERCAM, Correos, Tradisa, Palibex, Arcese, Dupessey Iberica, Schnellecke Logistics, Telefurgo, AGV Transportation, Barsan Global Logistics, Frigicoll, Euro Truck, Districenter (Holding M. Condeminas) Wtransnet and Transporeon, among others, have already confirmed their participation.

SIL 2015, as in its last edition, will have a space called SIL Transport, which will host an exhibition area for all companies in the transport sector who would like to promote their business relationships, networking, and new business contacts. This commitment to the transport sector will be strengthened with the celebration of the “Meeting of Transport Leaders”, which will take place on Wednesday June 10 in the afternoon. This forum will address the issues of most concern to the industry and that are shaping the present as well as the future of transport in Spain.

All the companies participating in SIL Transport, like the rest of SIL exhibitors, will have the opportunity to participate in the Speed Dating and Lunch Networking of the Logistics Circle, where last year over 300 shippers in the leading companies in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive, machinery and electronics, steel and metal metallurgy, consumer goods, among others, participated actively. Within the Logistics Circle over 900 direct meetings were held between shippers and SIL participating companies. It is also worth noting that SIL, in its last edition, was visited by more than 2,500 companies in the transport sector.

The 17th edition of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition will also host the 13th Mediterranean Logistics and Transport Forum, the 8th Mediterranean Ports Summit and the 4th Latin American Logistics and Transport Summit, where major current issues in the sector will be discussed and answers and solutions will be provided.
