The Catalan capital is preparing to host 90,000 people from 200 different countries next week in the largest fair in the mobile phone industry. It is expected to have an economic impact of 436 million euros.
Just into the New Chinese year, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) is finishing its preparations to celebrate its 10th edition in Fira de Barcelona, where once again it is expecting to exceed the estimated attendance and to generate an economic impact of 436 million, 9.8% up on 2014.
The Congress that is usually held in February will take place between 2nd and 5th of March in the Gran Via after adapting to the Chinese calendar, which indicates the beginning of
the Year of the Goat. It is the second time that the fair has been linked to Asian tradition. The influence of this continent in the sector is ever more apparent.
This year, 90,000 attendees are expected, including 70,000 foreigners from 200 different countries and 160 government delegations from all over the world.
