PIMEC Logistics contains a series of companies from different areas of the sector in a broad sense, from transport to handling or packaging.

PIMEC has set up the new logistics and supply chain industry association, which includes raising the profile of a key area of ​​activity in Catalonia. The privileged geographical situation of the country and its infrastructures such as the port and airport make logistics one of the cornerstones of the Catalan economy, which did not, however, have the articulation and visibility that corresponded to it.

PIMEC logistics will have the mission to help improve the competitiveness of SMEs by strengthening, revitalising and modernising the supply chain. Therefore, the industry association understands the logistics field in a broad sense, including not only transport and storage but also external services of handling, packaging, etc. Moreover, PIMEC logistics will work in areas related to mobility or infrastructure policy.

The President of PIMEC logistics, the businessman Ignasi Sayol points out that “our sectoral association will work on key issues of knowledge, technology and representation”. Immediately, the group will prepare a strategic plan that will serve as a roadmap for the industry.
