Mercabarna to advise wholesale markets in China

Mercabarna participated in the 6th Asia-Pacific Wholesale Markets Conference, where it was present at a round table dedicated to discussing potential trade between different wholesale market attendees from countries such as China, Australia, New Zealand and Chile, among others.

Mercabarna and the China National Agriculture Wholesale Market Association (CAWA), an association that brings together the wholesale markets of China, have reached a cooperation agreement according to which Mercabarna will offer its advice service on technical and management aspects to any of the more than 250 wholesale centres that are part of this organisation.

This agreement was signed during a trip to Beijing, held from January 28 to February 1, by the CEO of Mercabarna, Josep Tejedo, and the Director of Strategy and Marketing, Pablo Vilanova, to participate in the 6th Asia-Pacific Wholesale Markets Conference, organised by CAWA the World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM).

In the framework of this conference, Josep Tejedo also gave a talk in front of about 800 attendees where he explained what Mercabarna is, what the main potentials are, and its future projects. Besides, Mercabarna was also present at a round table dedicated to discussing potential trade between the different wholesale market attendees from countries such as China, Australia, New Zealand, and Chile, among others.
